Infrastructure legislation was recently initiated to further ensure development activities through the creation of the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council. The council manages a $300 million bond, to provide for water, sewer and economic development projects. Of the $300 million, 80 percent is earmarked for water and sewer projects and 20 percent is directed to economic development projects. A large portion of these dedicated funds already have been appropriated to projects in the tri-county area of PAZ.
